Believe it or not, toilets are a huge source of water waste.  Most toilets still use 5 gallon flush systems, and all that is needed for 85% of flushes is a .6 gallon flush.  Our society is wasteing billions of gallons of water every year because we don’t have the right toilets installed!  If you still have a 5 gallon toilet, go out and buy a new one today.  Modern toilets are as cheap as $200, easy to install, and only use 2 gallons per flush.  There are even toilets available that have a dual flush option, with the smallest flush being .5 gallons.  Talk about a great way to make an instant difference!  While you are at it, make sure your tires are properly inflated.  Deflated tires lower your miles per gallon, thus increasing your carbon footprint.
